A joyful birthday celebration ended in a nightmare for a 33-year-old man in Pipri Pura village, Etawah, after he was ambushed and shot dead while returning home on Saturday night.

The victim, identified as Rahul Kumar Yadav, was intercepted by armed attackers late in the evening. The sound of gunfire drew terrified neighbors and relatives to the scene, where they found him lying in a pool of blood.

Family members have pointed fingers at their own relatives, claiming the brutal killing was the climax of a long-standing disagreement regarding the illegal tapping of public power lines. They believe this friction over utility theft ultimately cost the young man his life.

Police officers from the Jaswant Nagar station arrived shortly after the incident and rushed the victim to the district hospital. Unfortunately, medical personnel confirmed that he had already passed away upon arrival.

Senior police officials, including the Additional Superintendent of Police, visited the hospital to oversee the investigation. The body has been moved for a post-mortem examination as authorities launch a manhunt to track down the suspects.
