A quiet community near Hobart is in shock today after authorities discovered the bodies of a man and a woman inside a private residence. Emergency responders rushed to the home in Campania, located about 30 kilometres north of the city, shortly after 10 am following a distress call.

Upon arrival, paramedics sadly confirmed that both individuals had passed away. Police have since cordoned off the property to allow forensics teams to gather evidence and piece together exactly what transpired inside the home.

Detective Inspector David Gill addressed the public to ease fears regarding safety in the area. He stated that investigators believe the incident was confined to the house and there is no immediate danger to the surrounding community.

At this stage, detectives are not searching for any other suspects. However, the investigation remains active as experts continue to process the scene to determine the cause of the deaths.

Law enforcement officials are now calling on anyone with relevant information to come forward. Witnesses or neighbours who have not yet spoken to officers are urged to contact the police immediately by calling 131 444 and referencing the case number ESCAD 114-15052026.
