Panic gripped a busy suburb in Sydney on Monday morning after a building wall gave way, leaving two people in serious condition. The incident occurred in Ultimo, a bustling area located just a short distance from the city’s main business district.
Emergency responders from the New South Wales Ambulance service rushed to the scene shortly before 11:00 am. Upon arrival, rescue teams immediately began evaluating the situation and attending to those caught in the rubble.
Health officials confirmed that seven individuals were examined by medical personnel at the site. While five people escaped with minor injuries or avoided harm, two victims required urgent medical attention and were rushed to the hospital for specialized care.
Local television footage captured the extent of the damage, showing a massive wall of a building crumbled near an active construction site. Authorities are currently investigating what triggered the structural failure to ensure the safety of other nearby residents and workers.
